Pilot Assist Explained: The Driver Assistance Built Into Every 2027 Polestar 3

Read moreThe 2027 Polestar 4 SUV is here, and Quebec shoppers finally get an SUV-bodied version of one of the brand’s most talked-about electric performance cars. If you liked the Polestar 4 coupe’s shape but wanted more room for gear, this new sibling is built with exactly that trade-off in mind.
This article covers what Polestar has confirmed for the 2027 Polestar 4 SUV: its design changes, its two powertrain paths, its cargo and interior updates, and what Quebec buyers should know before reaching out to a dealer.
The Polestar 4 SUV shares its SEA architecture with the Polestar 4 coupe, but the rear end has been reworked. Instead of the coupe’s sloped fastback line, the SUV gets a straighter roofline and a more upright tailgate, changes made specifically to grow cargo capacity and reinforce its SUV identity.
Both cars are built in Busan, South Korea. The chassis has been retuned to balance comfort for everyday driving with the responsive handling Polestar is known for, and that tuning carries into a dedicated Performance pack for buyers who want more.
The interior keeps the Polestar 4 coupe’s minimalist, technology-forward layout: a landscape-oriented centre display, a driver display, and ambient lighting with a cosmic theme. The main display now offers nine widget shortcuts instead of six, giving quicker access to more functions.
The Polestar 4 SUV comes with a choice of two powertrains, and the gap between them is wide enough to matter.

The Rear motor variant trades outright power for range, making it the pick for drivers who want the longest legs between charges. The Dual motor version gives up 30 km of WLTP range but nearly doubles the horsepower and cuts the 0-100 km/h time almost in half, which suits drivers who weigh performance more heavily than maximum distance.
Both powertrains draw from the same 100 kWh battery on a 400 V architecture, with DC fast charging up to 200 kW and an 11 kW onboard charger for AC charging in Canada. That combination means a public fast-charge stop tops up the battery quickly on longer drives, while the onboard charger handles a full overnight charge at home.
For buyers who want the sharpest version of the SUV, the available Performance pack adds recalibrated active dampers from ZF, Brembo brakes with Swedish gold calipers, and 22-inch wheels wrapped in Pirelli P Zero tires. It’s aimed squarely at drivers who already lean toward the Dual motor setup and want the chassis to match.
The shift to an SUV body isn’t just about looks. Total storage comes to 1,680 litres, with 655 litres available behind the rear seats and up to 1,665 litres when the 60/40 rear seatbacks are folded down. That’s the kind of flexibility that matters for winter gear, weekend trips, or hauling something bulky without booking a second vehicle.
The redesigned rear also opens up an extra 2.5 centimetres of headroom in the second row compared with the coupe, thanks to the more upright roofline. A larger panoramic glass roof comes standard, and buyers who want to control glare further can choose the optional electrochromic glass roof, a feature unique to the SUV.
On the tech side, Google built-in comes with Google Gemini for AI-assisted voice help, and Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) lets the car function as a power source for tools or equipment. A Camping mode is also available. For sound, a Harman Kardon Premium Sound system with 12 speakers is offered as an option, tuned specifically for this SUV body.
Interior materials lean toward sustainability: standard bio-attributed MicroTech material uses recycled PET backing, while optional Tailored Knit upholstery and Bridge of Weir Nappa leather give buyers a step up in finish without abandoning that focus.
Unlike the coupe, the SUV includes a proper rear window and a conventional rear-view mirror as standard, restoring the kind of rear visibility some coupe-style EVs sacrifice. Buyers who want an even wider field of view with the cargo area loaded can still add the digital rear-view mirror as an option.
The 2027 Polestar 4 SUV is coming to Quebec dealerships, with production already underway in Busan, South Korea. Specific pricing and Quebec order details have not been finalized, so the most reliable path is checking directly with your local dealer as those details are confirmed.
The 2027 Polestar 4 SUV pairs the design and driving character of the Polestar 4 coupe with real cargo flexibility, a choice between a long-range Rear motor setup and a quicker Dual motor AWD option, and an available Performance pack for drivers who want the sharpest version.
